RBI won Digital Transformation Award 2025

RBI won Digital Transformation Award 2025. The Reserve Bank of India, RBI, has received an award. This award is called the Digital Transformation Award 2025. It was given by Central Banking in London, which is in the United Kingdom. The RBI received this award for its inhouse apps called Pravaah and Sarthi. The RBI’s own team of experts made these applications. The Pravaah and Sarthi have reduced the use of paper. This has changed the way the RBI works, both inside and outside.

Sarthi

Sarthi was started in January 2023. It changed the way the RBI’s employees do their work using computers. Now, they can keep and share documents safely and digitally. This has improved how records are kept.

It has also made it easier to study information using reports and charts. Sarthi has helped the RBI to work more efficiently by using computers to do tasks. It allows them to keep track of tasks and how well they are being done. It also helps employees work together better. It can be used with other computer systems in the RBI. Before, the RBI’s many departments used different methods. Some were done by hand, and some were done by computers. Sarthi has created one central place to store all the RBI’s information.

Pravaah

Pravaah was started in May 2024. It is a computer-based application system that allows people outside the RBI to send official applications to the RBI. Documents sent through this system are stored in the Sarthi database. From there, they can be handled by computers in all RBI offices. It also has strong computer security and can be tracked. Pravaah has made it possible to send more than 70 different kinds of official applications using computers.

It helps the work of nine different RBI departments. From May to the end of 2024, more than 2,000 applications were sent through this system. This is an 80 percent increase in the number of applications sent each month. This is partly because the system is very easy to use.
